People Transformed with the love of God

To Evangelize, Disciple and Develop people’s potential based on the word of God.

Founded in 1979 on the Makerere hill in Kampala, The Redeemed of the Lord Evangelistic Church (ROLEC), affectionately known as Redeemed Church, quickly emerged as an inspiration of devotion. The church swiftly gathered admiration for its fervent devotion to both Christ and people, coupled with its dedicated efforts in ministerial training and empowerment.
Presently, ROLEC flourishes with a network exceeding 213 satellite semi-autonomous churches mostly in the districts of Adjumani Arua, Buwenge, Hoima, Iganga, Jinja, Kabale, Kampala, Kamuli, Masaka, Masindi, Mayuge, Mbale, Mbarara, Moyo, Mpigi, Mubende and Wakiso, among others. Additionally, several visionary leaders emerged from the church and oversee independent ministries, expanding their reach both nationally and internationally. ROLEC also undertakes community development interventions through its Projects Coordination Office.

Statement of Faith

As Christians we believe and accept:

  1. The revelation of one and true God, as presented in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.
  2. The supreme authority of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, encompassing creation, providence, revelation, and ultimate judgment.
  3. The divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, resulting in their complete reliability and unmatched authority concerning matters of faith and conduct.
  4. The virgin birth of Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, brought into being through His divine will by the Holy Spirit.
  5. The universal state of sinfulness and guilt in fallen humanity, rendering individuals subject to God’s righteous anger and condemnation.
  6. The substitutionary sacrifice of the Incarnate Son of God, Jesus Christ, who willingly endured crucifixion, serving as the exclusive and
fully effective basis for redemption from both sin’s power and its everlasting consequences.
  7. The justification of sinners solely by God’s grace, achieved through faith in the crucified and resurrected Jesus Christ.
  8. The transformative work of the Holy Spirit in regeneration, indwelling, and sanctification.
  9. The shared priesthood of all believers, collectively forming the worldwide church—the Body over which Jesus Christ presides as Head—and entrusted by His command to propagate the Gospel globally.
  10. The manifestation of the Body of Christ through individual local churches.
  11. The personal, visible return of Jesus Christ, marked by His triumphant power and radiant glory, along with the ascension of all believers to eternal glory alongside Him.
  12. The resurrection of the dead and eternal life granted to all that trust and believe in Jesus Christ.
